Conservation Art Quilt

August 1 to August 31

We are creating another Carver Memorial Library Community Art Quilt and all are invited to participate!  Pick up a paper quilt square form at the main desk and use pictures and/or words to design a quilt square that shows what this year’s summer reading themes of conservation, ecology and re-imagining mean to you. Once your square is complete, turn it back in at the desk and we will add it to the quilt to be displayed in our gallery space downstairs.

September is Library Card Signup Month!

Have you gotten your updated card?
Stop in to the library for your shiny new library card!
Have your card number right at hand.
You can choose to use it at checkout or continue to use your name, whichever is easier for you.
Everything about your account remains the same, you'll just have a new number. You may need to update your login information
for the online catalog and cloudLibrary if you use those.

Why new cards?
We are updating library card numbers to the state standard format as a first step towards connecting our catalog to MaineCat, the statewide library catalog. Once we're connected, you'll be able to request items directly on the MaineCat website, and items will arrive faster. The process is long, but a MaineCat connection is something we're committed to offering. We'll keep you posted when we have more news.
